AI Machine Learning & SAM
Artificial Intelligence is the latest fever-dream to grab hold of IT. Unlike its fashionable predecessors, this is an approach to data management and decision making that businesses can get behind.
If you've ever seen the movie "Moneyball", then taking a data-first strategy in performance maturity will not be new to you. This is the foundation of how to apply machine learning and AI in your organisation. "Politics and culture" are not fools suffered gladly by AI.
The attached zip file looks to offer a grounding in the early days of machine learning, how neural networks work and ultimately how they can be applied to SAM. Please note: the SAM neural network model offered in Page 9 isn't as well represented as it could be in a portrait format, so a landscape version has been provided under separate cover.
Next we move on to how a neural network can be applied in support of an ISO Management Systems Standard, namely ISO 19770-1. The Deming Cycle principle of Plan --> Do --> Check --> Act seeks to take the input offered to the neural network and present that data to an AI rules engine to offer an output of action.
Finally, we offer tips and tricks when looking to structure your neural network. When data is re-presented you understand the role of weightings and what a hidden layer should be achieving.
AI Machine Learning & SAM: Final Thoughts
Applying a neural network to SAM/ ITAM is the cherry on the top of the SAM/ ITAM cake. To ensure that your neural network has data worthy of processing, it needs processes to generate data. These processes should be produced with the SMART acronym in mind.
