Template SAM Eco-System

Template SAM Eco-system: A recent client engagement called on me to create a SAM eco-system.  Thankfully, the client in question was using the ITAM Accelerate Process Kit as the basis for the SAM transformation program.  Our 32 processes, allied to their own SAM processes gave the client a true "North Star" for an impending transformation. A quick word too, on the ITAM Accelerate Process Kit. You might feel that "best practice" is not your ultimate goal - and that's fine too. But what you can do is purchase the kit, and then "parachute down" from best-practice. This saves you having to work from ground zero while dodging expressions like "We've always done it this way". Park what you can't/ won't achieve for now, and make that part of your maturity curve moving forward.

This also gave me the chance to get around to updating the old version of the Template SAM eco-system that I had avoided for the last four years.  However, a method I developed in creating the Cloud eco-system served me well.

Please don't fall into the trap of thinking that you have arrived with SAM because you have installed a SAM tool. As I am fond of saying "I own a cooker, but that doesn't make me Gordon Ramsey".
